Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV)

It's not easy to change lenses on an autonomous robot. FLIR FlexView allows you to capture a wide image of large targets, and instantly switch to a narrow lens for smaller targets at longer distances. Get the most accurate temperature measurements so you can make better decisions.

FLIR FlexView FAQs

WHICH FLIR CAMERAS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH FLEXVIEW?

FLIR Txxx-Series:

T530, T540, T560, T840, T860, and T865

FLIR Axxx-Series: A400, A500, and A700

FLIR Exx Series: E76, E86, and E96

How does FLEXVIEW work?

FLIR FlexView is easy to use across multiple compatible camera models. For handheld cameras, the switch on the lens will toggle between 14° and 24° field of view lenses in seconds. For A400/500/700 cameras, software commands perform the same function as the switch.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 14° and 24° FOV LENSES?

Field of View (FOV) refers to how much of a certain scene the camera can see all at once and from what distance. 24° is a wide-angle FOV, meaning you will be able to assess the scene in its entirety or at a larger scale. When you want to zoom in on a particular item, such as a hot spot, the FlexView allows you to switch to 14° FOV so you can clearly measure it from a distance.

WHY IS FLEXVIEW LENS CONVENIENT FOR THERMAL INSPECTIONS?

Switching between 14° and 24° usually involves swapping out physical wide-angle and telephoto lens. However, the FlexView makes it easy to toggle between the two without having to adjust anything on your camera aside from pushing a single button.
